Who can apply for membership?
Membership is open to companies and individuals operating in the aviation supply chain, provided they meet the conditions set out in the association’s statutes. Full membership is reserved for applicants established in Türkiye, or operating through a branch in Türkiye, and authorized by the relevant civil aviation authorities. Participant membership may include universities, international entities, sector-related institutions, and service providers whose activities are connected to the association’s field of work.
What are the membership categories?
THAT DER has three membership categories: Full Members, Honorary Members, and Participant Members. Full Members have the right to participate in the General Assembly and vote. Honorary and Participant Members may attend the General Assembly, but they do not have voting, election, or candidacy rights.
How does the membership application process work?
Applicants submit a membership application form together with the required supporting documents. Full Membership applications include company records, licenses, and references from at least two existing members. Applications are reviewed and decided by the Board of Directors in accordance with the association’s statutes.
Are there membership fees?
Membership includes a one-time entry fee and an annual membership fee. The amounts are determined by the Board in accordance with the association’s statutes. The annual fee is paid once each year in January. Applicants joining in the second half of the year may pay half of the annual fee. Participant Members may be subject to the designated entry and annual fees.
What does THAT DER do for its members?
THAT DER works to strengthen cooperation, knowledge exchange, and coordination across the aviation supply chain. Its activities include industry monitoring, professional events, training initiatives, collaboration with institutions, and support for standards and accreditation. The association also represents the interests of the sector and its members.
Does THAT DER organize training and professional events?
Yes. The association may organize conferences, seminars, panels, and professional training activities, and may also work with universities, educators, and other institutions on sector-related educational initiatives.
